Memory Lane: Rochdale

£15.00

When local historian John Cole and Observer editor-in-chief Richard Catlow were researching their hugely popular book Images of Rochdale, they unearthed so many superb photographs it soon became clear that one book alone could never come close to doing them justice.

So the natural answer was to produce a second book and Memory Lane Rochdale was born. Like Images, this new book draws on a formula that is quite different from most books of old photographs.

This book is profusely illustrated with black and white photographs, with captions, from the 1950s, 60s, 70s and to some extent the 1980s, of Rochdale, Norden, Bamford, Littleborough, Wardle, Lilnow. Newhey, Healey and Whitworth.
