This very scarce book looks the contribution of the local population during the war and records every major incident in chronological order, including precise details of weapons used and damage sustained, the hard work of the rescue services, the part played during the Dunkirk evacuation, and the vital role of RAF Manston. There is a full roll of honour of all those who lost their lives in the area to the rear. The book is illustrated with numerous photographs and maps plotting both air-raid shelters and damage sustained.
The card covers are in very good condition, clean and bright, with rubbing to the front fore-edge, a light crease to the bottom rear corner and minor handling marks.
The binding is firm and tight.
Internally, the content is clean, with small crease to the bottom corners of some of the pages, and in very good condition.
