Including numerous black and white illustrations of vintage machines, this collectable facsimile reprint of the 1950 edition of this work is a chronological history of the development of the motor cycle, from the crude Butler motor tricycle of 1884 to the powerful models of the 1950s, and the men who designed, constructed and rode them. Included are chapters on racing (especially TT races), scrambles and trials, speedway and road racing. Also included is a potted history of nearly fifty famous makes.
The dust wrapper is in very good condition, clean and bright, with bumping, slight rubbing and small scuffs to the extremities.
There is very slight spotting to the top edges of the pages.
Internally, the content is clean and in near fine condition.
