This scarce book celebrates the extraordinary life and career of Hubert Scott-Paine, flying boat designer and builder, and founder of Supermarine Aviation. After selling the company, he turned his attention to the pursuit of speed at sea, constructing revolutionary types of fast boats. The book includes over 80 black and white illustrations.
The dust wrapper is in very good condition, clean and bright, with a .3 cm closed tear and scuff to the top of the spine to the rear and and mild bumping to the top extremities.
The binding is tight.
Inside, there is a neat, previous owner’s details in ink in an area approximately 1.5 x 1.75 inches to the front free end paper, otherwise, the content is clean and in very good condition.
