This lavishly and profusely illustrated book features the evocative American Native Indian art of Howard Terpning. It includes numerous historical works, such as scenes of the Army’s pursuit of Geronimo and other Apaches in 1886. The paintings are supported by the knowledgable text of Elmer Kelton, and discusses the origins of various tribes, symbols, customs, and more.
The dust wrapper is in very good condition, clean and bright, with a crease to the top fore-corner.
The binding is secure and tight.
There is an ownership bookplate from a personal library to the front free end-paper and a ghost of pencil marks to the head of the title page, otherwise the interior is clean and unmarked.
