This is a guide to the collecting, repairing and restoration of vintage valve radio receivers, including chapters on the birth of radio, early influences, the development of the technology, styling influences and the collecting radio sets. Most of the book concerns faultfinding, and chassis and cabinet restoration. The author also describes how to construct an AF signal generator/tracer, a test lamp, a battery valve radio power supply, a dummy aerial and a basic circuit tester. The book is liberally illustrated in black and white with photographs and diagrams.
The card covers are clean, fresh and in fine condition.
There are some smudges and light spotting to the page edges.
Internally, the content is clean, with slight rubbing to the bottom corners, and in near fine condition.
A nice copy of a scarce item.
